Aesthetic Group Gymnastics

Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (AGG) is a discipline of gymnastics based on versatile and varied body movements. A group consists of 6-10 gymnasts together. Choreography is made on music and the movements of gymnasts’ create a story. The movements of the gymnasts flow naturally and fluently from one movement to another, showing amplitude and variety in the dynamics and speed.

The composition must contain body waves and swings, balances and pivots, jumps and leaps, dance steps, and lifts. Physical qualities such as flexibility, speed, strength, coordination, and ability to move effortlessly are required.

AGG is art, expression and feelings combined into a high level competitive sport.
